The latest group of churches creating websites with ThisChurch is called Acacia. They are working through the unique Eight Weeks to Launch programme.
Nick Gazard said, “We’ve worked hard to get to this exciting moment. All we’ve learned from delivering hundreds of custom websites for churches has gone into ThisChurch. Creating a safe environment that’s easy for non-technical people to use, and making the service affordable for even the smallest churches has been an exciting challenge.”
Revd Jeremy Parsons said, “The shared mission of all churches is to bring good news to friends and neighbours. All too often, churches have struggled to make good use of the web. We want to change that. Inspired by the church itself, we are starting small and thinking big.”
The churches working together in the Acacia group are:
All Saints, Great Chesterford
All Saints, Wing
The Ascension Benefice, Leicester
Holy Trinity, Littlebury
St Mary’s, Little Chesterford
St Mary’s, Wendens Ambo
St Philip’s, Leicester
William Temple Church, London
Working and learning together over through the eight week programme, each church’s representative is being guided through the steps involved in making an attractive and effective church website. When they ‘graduate,’ they will be trained and able to maintain their sites, add new pages and make use of more advanced features, with the continuing support of the ThisChurch team and user community.
